I am passionate about body-based trauma healing as a path towards the realization of greater coherence and aliveness- both individually and collectively. I hold this work as an opportunity for knowing a more peaceful coexistence with one another and with our planet.
I teach, train and supervise therapists and social workers to integrate somatic trauma resolution interventions and anti-oppressive practice into their clinical work. I also teach neuroscience, psychophysiology, and trauma resilience to social work students at Columbia University and Smith College.
I am a proud geek for research! I hold a doctorate in clinical social work from Smith College and my research currently focuses on integrating body-mind practices, such as Somatic Experiencing®, with virtual, evidenced-based interventions.
